IIBA RECOGNIZES RAVENFLOW AS AN ENDORSED EDUCATION PROVIDER
"Writing Effective Business Use Cases" training course recognized and certified by IIBA
EMERYVILLE, CA—May 18, 2009—The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) today announced that it has certified Ravenflow as an Endorsed Education Provider.
The IIBA is an independent, nonprofit professional association serving the growing population of Business Analysts in the workforce. The IIBA identifies education providers who offer business analyst training courses that are aligned with the IIBA Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®). Prospective Endorsed Education Providers must go through a rigorous evaluation process. Providers offering business analysis courses that meet specific criteria are designated as "endorsed" and become members of the Endorsed Education Provider (EEPTM) Program.
Ravenflow is the first and only requirements product vendor to be endorsed, with the acceptance of its course entitled Writing Effective Business Use Cases. This course, developed by Marcia Stinson and edited for compliancy by Tim O'Connor, both senior consultants at Ravenflow, has been Ravenflow's most popular training course. Professional business analysts representing hundreds of companies have attended this course over the last 12 months.
"Writing Effective Business Use Cases was the best training we have conducted on business requirements definition," said Joanna Mangiante, lead business analyst at TriNet. "Improving business requirements is the most direct way to reduce application development time and costs."
Students who complete Writing Effective Business Use Cases receive credit toward IIBA's CBAP professional certification. Writing Effective Business Use Cases, along with all of Ravenflow’s products and training offerings, promotes the best practices for requirements definition as outlined in the BABOK.
"Many of our customers have expressed appreciation for helping their business analysts learn why they should be improving their processes and what the impact can mean to their company's overall success," said Susan Boers, president and CEO of Ravenflow. "Our courses focusing on best practices provide a clearer vision to producing better quality of requirements, and we are proud to be the first requirements product vendor to become an Endorsed Education Provider by the IIBA."
