    RAVENFLOW NAMED "COOL VENDOR" BY LEADING ANALYST FIRM

    Vendors selected for the "Cool Vendor report" are innovative, impactful and intriguing

    EMERYVILLE, Calif.—April 3, 2007—Ravenflow has been included in the list of "Cool Vendors" in the "Cool Vendors in Application Development, 2007" report by Gartner, Inc.

    Ravenflow was listed in the report written by Jim Duggan, Ray Valdes, Matt Light, and Partha Iyengar, and published March 15, 2007.

    "Developing software requirements is a complex process that can be slowed or derailed by poor communication and disputes over meaning among business and IT stakeholders," said Joe Marasco, Ravenflow president and chief executive officer. "We believe Gartner's evaluation of Ravenflow as a cool vendor validates our RAVEN solution and its ability to model English sentence structure from the bottom up to produce clear, easy-to-grasp visual diagrams that enable developers to identify and fix logic errors before work begins."

    The only solution available that automates the creation, specification and validation of requirements, RAVEN empowers the entire business and software development team to collaborate, communicate and manage risk during the requirements validation process. The solution automatically generates diagrams from plain English text, enabling even non-technical project stakeholders from across the enterprise to gain immediate visual feedback on use cases. RAVEN facilitates the creation of precise, high quality requirements that everyone can understand, so that business and IT can work together to quickly identify and correct errors—such as incomplete processes and ambiguous statements—before coding begins. The end result is less rework, shorter development cycles, fewer budget overruns, and a high project success rate.

    About Gartner's Cool Vendors Selection Process
    Gartner's listing does not constitute an exhaustive list of vendors in any given technology area, but rather is designed to highlight interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services. Gartner disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, with respect to this research, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness of a particular purpose.

    Gartner defines a cool vendor as a company that offers technologies or solutions that are
    • Innovative: enable users to do things they couldn't do before;
    • Impactful: have, or will have, business impact (not just technology for the sake of technology);
    • Intriguing: have caught Gartner's interest or curiosity in approximately the past six months.
