MAJOR ANALYST FIRM NAMES RAVENFLOW THE FASTEST GROWING OF TOP REQUIREMENTS VENDORS
EMERYVILLE, Calif.—Mar. 31, 2008—
Ravenflow, the leader in rapid requirements
definition software, today announced that market analyst firm IDC has named Ravenflow the
fastest growing vendor in its first assessment of the Requirements Definition and Management
software market.
"IDC research continues to show flawed requirements as a leading cause of failure in new
applications," according to the report. "The compound annual growth rate for requirements
definition and management is more than double that for other categories of traditional software
change management tools."
"We expect to see robust growth in 2007 and thereafter, throughout the forecast period, as the
need for requirements and governance, services support, and improved software development
team productivity drive ongoing demand for requirements tools that enable business stakeholder
and IT collaboration," said Melinda Ballou, IDC program director, Application Life-Cycle
Management.
"Ravenflow’s remarkable growth is due to the importance our clients are placing on improving
their requirements processes," said Susan Boers, CEO of Ravenflow. "Having stakeholder
acceptance up front before the start of any development project is paying off in the long run. We
will continue to experience rapid growth due to increased pressure from the market to be more
efficient in producing quality deliverables."
